Combination of organic soil amendments and weed control to optimize the growth and yield of peanuts in sandy soils in coastal areas

Sandy soils in coastal areas can be managed for peanut cultivation by minimizing the limiting factors. The study aimed to use organic soil amendments combined with weed control methods optimize peanuts' growth and yield sandy land. research was conducted area of Bengkulu, Indonesia, from September 2019 January 2020. Two experimental factors were arranged a completely randomized block design three replications. first amendment consisted cow manure (CM), compost empty fruit bunches oil palm (EFB), without as control, second preemergence application oxyfluorfen, postemergence propaquizafop, hand-weeding. results found most effective EFB hand-weeding, but CM propaquizafop. efficacy propaquizafop not significantly different hand-weeding sedges grassy weeds. Plant improved, peanuts increased EFB. Optimal observed treatment, namely stover weight pods 28.74 g/plant 5.82 tons/ha, respectively. With 28.79 5.78 provided novel information regarding potential land using local materials amendments.
